Mid January – mid February
Celebrate one of the longest wildlife migrations on the planet by having a close encounter with gray whales in the biggest breeding meeting grounds of the Pacific –Bahía Almejas! Eco Migrations will turn your experience into an example of how responsible tourism can create a comfortable and trusting playground shared by whales and humans.
Our rendezvous is in La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur. We will meet you at your hotel and from there we will take you on a two-hour drive to Bahía Almejas –the southernmost gray whale lagoon in the Mexican part of the Pacific.
Enjoy our safari style camp located in a remote area of the bay, and meet with the 40 ton gray whales and their calves! In our camp you will have all the facilities you need for a very comfortable stay, and you will be able to go out to the bay every morning for whale watching and every afternoon to enjoy bird watching and sea kayaking journeys.
