An epic sea kayak adventure awaits you along the Sierra de la Giganta on the western coast of the Sea of Cortez. This experience for avid sea kayakers will take you through one of the most beautiful mountain ranges with a hearty wildlife above and below the water’s surface. You’ll find yourself paddling south for eight days, 3-4 hours per day, along the Sierra’s coast from one amazing camp site to another, with fexibility and time to improve your sea kayaking skills, hike desert trails, snorkel in warm water full of colorful fish and invertebrates, or just relaxing on the beach, reading a good book and drinking a refreshing margarita. Our rendezvous is in La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur with one night at El Moro Hotel. The morning of the 16th we’ll head to Espiritu Santo Island, where we’ll start paddling for eight days in “the world´s greatest aquarium”, according to Cousteau, and find ourselves “in a state of leave – taking, never to go nor to stay, but remain suspended in that golden emotion of love and longing: to be loved without satiety”, to quote John Steinbeck, The log from the Sea of Cortez.
